Consolidated Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CEC), an electric
distribution cooperative in Central Ohio dedicated to improving the
quality of life for our members and communities, is seeking a
Business Development Specialist. You'll join a self-motivated and
goal-oriented team where you'll perform all facets of business
development including recruitment and retention strategies to
achieve optimal electric, fiber, natural gas, and propane sales,
along with promotion of future products and services. Bring your
strong organizational, planning, direction and communication

In addition to being responsible for CEC's economic and area
development activities and working with area leaders to attract new
business and seek economic development loans, you will administer a
key accounts program; develop and cultivate relationships with
larger CEC and subsidiary customers; and play a key role in being a
liaison between the cooperative and new businesses for electric
distribution and fiber optic facilities for new and existing
subdivisions, commercial buildings and key accounts.
The preferred candidate must have:
A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university,
preferably in business administration management or related field
such as public relations.
Knowledge of economic and business development principles.
Strong leadership skills, self-direction, and motivation with a
proven track record.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Good organizational, planning, direction, and communications
skills.
A valid driver's license with the ability to work from either
the Mount Gilead or Delaware facilities, as needed.
The following is desired, but not
required:
Four (4) years of experience in a business development, sales,
and/or management capacity.
Knowledge or experience in the telecom
industry is strongly
desired.
