Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and execute technical projects focused on the development of new products or technology in support of C&R's Automotive Refinish Coatings growth and profit objectives

Accountabilities

1. Delivers technical and process innovations in the Commercial Coatings development team to provide the business with new products that sustain competitive advantage and sales growth
2. Contributes to on-time/in-full, right-first-time delivery of projects by effective project leadership and membership, including expert technical inputs to all key Commercial Coatings projects.
3. Ensures high professional standards in the group (including safe working habits and areas of skills/knowledge). In particular, maintains and develops expertise in formulation, processing and optimization of systems performance.
4. Optimizes cost and performance in his/her formulating practices.
5. Ensures maintenance of the Commercial Coatings product portfolios, promoting effective communication and collaboration with field-based, marketing and operations staff.
6. Maintains and develops awareness of competitor products and activities, supporting appropriate competitive evaluations.
7. Collaborates effectively with R&D activities in Allison Park specific to development and exploitation of novel resin, process and formulation building blocks for Commercial Coatings applications.
8. Effectively communicates data/results to technical and non-technical associates.

Experience and Education

Requires:
Degree in chemistry or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5-7 years experience formulating high performance polyurethane topcoats and epoxy primers
Experience in cross-functional team working environment
Good communication skills in a multi-functional environment



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
