8K a year $2000 Sign on bonus!! ($1000 at 3 months and 6 months) PRIMARY JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Enameled wire area inspector conducts laboratory tests and inspections to evaluate the quality and performance of enameled wire.
The tech needs to operate and maintain the SDO EV Lab in a consistently clean manner, be capable of operating and maintaining the equipment including Ovens, PDIV, Voltage breakdown, Microscope and various other mechanical or electrical tests.
The role requires the technician to evaluate results to customer and internal specifications, and to document and quarantine defective materials as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Prepares test samples as necessary to conduct tests on enameled wire.
Performs testing using various types of equipment, including both electrical and mechanical units.
Interprets and evaluates test results.
Coordinates with area production supervisor and operators to gain necessary samples and inform them of test results when issues are identified.
Operates of other miscellaneous equipment.
Completes tasks, assignments, and work, in accordance with priorities established by the Quality manager or supervisor.
Follows specific laboratory operating procedures.
Recommends modifications to current procedures as needed.
Maintains the lab and equipment and works in a safe manner.
Keeps the Quality Manager and supervisor/engineer informed of any problem, which may affect the successful completion of job assignments or product quality.
Keeps work areas clean at all times by wiping surfaces, sweeping floor and disposing of trash and scrap samples as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma.
Associates degree or college coursework.
One to five years of experience in a laboratory environment.
Proficient in basic math and computer use.
Knowledge of and understanding of ISO 9001/IATF16949 quality system requirements.
Technical knowledge of types of electronic testing.
Knowledge of basic manufacturing good practices.
Knowledge of the Sam Dong Ohio ERP system (ERPLx) a plus.
High degree of attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment Proficiency with personal computers and good basic working knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to learn sample preparation specific to enameled wire testing.
Good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Energetic personality - it can be a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, lift up to 50 lbs.
and push/pull up to 225 lbs.
Must have 20/20 vision (or corrected) and not be colorblind.
