Learning & Development Officer

A newly created position, the Learning and Development Manager provides operational and thought leadership for the development and implementation of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio's corporate and volunteer training initiatives including those related to traditional 1:
1 and group mentoring and leadership development at Camp Oty'Okwa.
Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, the Learning and Development Manager will work in partnership with BBBSCO leadership to assess and create innovative, engaging training solutions to enhance overall employee performance and volunteer experience that places child safety and well-being above all and is indicative of an evolving, high-performance, learning organization.
Responsible for the design and delivery of performance-based training modules, programs, processes, and collateral which supports overall business goals and objectives for the organization, while being responsive to emerging trends and best practices.
Spearheads the design, development, and implementation of an organizational-wide Learning &Development strategy to successfully transform the learning experience for all employees and volunteers, supports the employee and volunteer experience, and builds a culture of continuous learning.
Analyzes knowledge and skill gaps according to performance data, real-time observations and feedback in order to design short and long-term training plans and activities that align with agency learning and performance goals.
Responsible for coordination, scheduling, and facilitation of in-person and computer-based training content delivery, adoption, performance, and reporting.
Delivers group trainings to address operations updates to increase knowledge, compliance, andimprove skills performance for both BBBSCO employees and volunteers.
Manages the central repository training materials to ensure content is utilized and relevant on anongoing review and audit cycle, including regular research into adult education best practices andinnovative service delivery in youth-serving organizations.
Manages all aspects of the learning management system (The Learning Exchange), including new user access and training verification for all staff and volunteers.
Identifies additional resources, including, but not limited to contract training personnel required to develop, manage, and deliver training.
Utilizes change management and communication methodology to promote a culture of continuous learning and ensures JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) is woven into every aspect of four learning and development curriculum.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Public Health, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Prosci Change Management certification, Association for Talent Development (ATD) facilitation certification preferred, but not required 2-5 years in a Learning & Development role with strong emphasis on needs analysis, facilitation, and learning program management Proven project management experience leading small to medium-sized projects with definedobjectives, timelines, and deliverables Proven hands-on experience organizing and leading corporate training events Familiarity with Learning Management Software (LMS) Understanding of talent management and succession planning Experience with full training cycle learning programs Excellent communication and facilitation skills Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences Experience exercising independent judgment and providing consultation to leaders at all levels Experience with motivational interviewing and facilitating focus groups Knowledge of instructional design principles and learning strategies Proficiency in assessing training effectiveness and value to stakeholders and leaders Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required Must have viable transportation, valid driver license to meet job responsibilities Self-Awareness.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
