4K a year Willow Brook Christian Communities is seeking a billing specialist for our reputable health care center in Delaware, Ohio.
This individual will be responsible for billing and collection duties as specified by Chief Financial Officer/Controller.
Responsibilities include resident billing for skilled nursing facilities (including Medicare, Medicare managed care, Medicaid, Ohio managed Medicaid, commercial insurance, Ohio BWC, hospice, and private pay billing), inputting of all deposits in accounts receivable system, and balancing of deposits with cash journal.
Additional responsibilities include querying coverage databases to confirm Medicare Part A & B or managed care resident stays, accurately submitting all claims, contacting insurance companies for co-insurance approval, billing third party payers for Medicare co-insurance and deductibles, maintaining resident fund accounts, updating census and monthly statistics, assisting with data preparation for audits, and coordinating changes with the county when residents change billing status.
Job qualifications include a high school diploma with previous billing or accounting experience.
Experience in Medicare and Medicaid billing, Medicare Advantage plan knowledge, and an understanding of medical ICD-10 codes, revenue codes, and CPT billing codes is critical.
Good communication skills, excellent phone etiquette skills, and computer literacy (specifically in Excel, Word, Point/Click/Care, Quadax, MITS, and DDS) are vital components of this position.
Hours are Monday through Friday working 9 a.
m.
to 5 p.
m.
