7K a year Objectives Individual serves the public through effective implementation of federal, state, and local laws procedures, regulations and agency practices to enable parents to support their children by establishing, collecting, and enforcing court orders.
Individual reports to the Client Services Administrator.
Job Standards Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field OR any combination of equivalent education and work experience in the child support enforcement field of a related field.
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business at all times as a continued condition of employment.
All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Essential Functions Manages child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures (i.
e.
reviews child support cases; recommends changes to track child support cases to ensure compliance; conducts investigations to locate obligors; establishes paternity; and enforces child support orders); Performs investigations to obtain information about case participants needed to enforce the case; Initiates administrative enforcement tools including, but not limited to, letters, income withholdings orders, license suspension, liens, seizing of bank accounts, civil / criminal court actions, attaching tax refunds and lump sums, and passport denial; Monitors and processes data in accordance with local, state, and federal policy in the Support Enforcement Tracking System (SETS) or other applicable tracking system.
This includes but is not limited to data entry, alerts, monthly reports, etc.
; Reviews and interprets judicial and administrative orders, payment records, case narratives, case files and other documents; Prepares accurate calculations of arrearage due for assigned obligors; Communicates professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, employers, community partners, and co-workers to respond to inquiries and provide needed information/education; Pursues appropriate legal actions for establishment and enforcement, including, but not limited to, requests for legal action, calculations of court orders to verify account balances, verification of service of process, preparation of case summary, court testimony, review of resulting court order, completion of necessary follow up, etc.
; Assists with office and caseload coverage in the absence of other staff; Effectively communicates with immediate supervisor for needed assistance, overtime, direction, questions, etc.
; Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; Attends various training sessions, video conferences, and workshops; Complies with all confidentiality and Federal Tax Information (FTI) regulations; Performs typing, word processing, and related computer operations; Works overtime and outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required; and, Performs other duties as required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
