5K a year 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago Objectives Incumbent is responsible for assisting the Coordinator with all aspects of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program.
Incumbent reports to the CASA Coordinator.
Job Standards ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist with the daily operation of the CASA Program; Assist with supervising, training and evaluating CASA volunteers; Assist with developing program policies and procedures and establishing parameters of volunteer responsibilities based on State and National CASA Standards; Assist with assigning caseload and providing case supervision for CASA volunteers; Assist with preparing and submitting statistical reporting for the CASA Program; Assist with recruiting, screening, training and retaining CASA volunteer base; Assist with maintaining volunteer files, including application, reference checks, evaluations, interests, continued training and case assignments; Assist with organizing and implementing continued training; Serves as a liaison between the CASA Program, Ohio CASA, National CASA and community partners; Assist with public awareness of CASA Program; Assists with public speaking events Assist with development and implementation of volunteer appreciation andor retention plan; Facilitates monthly group supervision sessions; and Attends meetings, hearings and home visits with CASAs, when necessary.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Attends meetings, training and seminars; Gives presentations at various conferences and community groups; Performs tasks as assigned by Coordinator, Department Head, Juvenile Court Administrator and/or Juvenile Judge; and Performs related Essential and Non-Essential functions, as needed.
Essential Functions Must have high school diploma; B.
A.
degree in human services field is preferred.
Prior experience as an active CASA and supervisory experience preferred.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have the ability to work independently.
Public speaking experience is preferred.
Must be available outside of normal business hours and have a valid Ohio Driver's License.
