3K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago The Water's Edge Restaurant and Caf 100 in Delaware, Ohio, are now seeking a full-time Dining Room Supervisor/Special Events Coordinator.
This individual will be responsible for coordinating and supervising planned dining room activities and special events, as well as providing daily meal and beverage delivery.
The Dining Room Supervisor/Special Events Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining proper par levels on all items needed to assist and deliver all meal functions, including condition and cleanliness of related environment/equipment.
Duties will include inspecting dining room set-up for accuracy and cleanliness prior to service, assigning servers with table sections and seating chart, welcoming and assisting residents with seating, issuing menus, assisting servers and aides with all aspects of servicing the table.
Will also train and supervise servers (and aides when applicable) for flow of service, and responsible for scheduling servers and overseeing server job duties and personnel issues.
The Dining Room/Special Events Coordinator will also schedule and monitor room reservations while following through with set-up, food delivery, and billing when necessary, track all special event revenue and functions, assist in developing and executing food and beverage function for residents and community, maintaining event/seasonal d cor, and maintaining meeting room cabinets and server stations.
Applicants for this position should have excellent communication, and organizational skills and should display personal character in keeping with the Willow Brook mission of service, ethics, and values.
Knowledge of special event set-up, the ability to work with little supervision, the ability to work with residents, guests, and staff with courtesy, tact, and graciousness, must possess the fundamental understanding of hospitality, customer service, table service technique, personal hygiene and appearance, the ability to stand the majority of the time, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous management experience is essential to this position.
Prior restaurant supervisory experienced is preferred.
