Job Description:
Serves as one of the primary technical leaders for the Global Infrastructure team. Undertakes complex infrastructure projects involving multiple disciplines or layers, some of which impact multiple business units and our 200
manufacturing sites Key Responsibilites:
Actively monitor the competitive landscape for new vendors and solutions, participates in industry forums, technical conferences and standards groups as a technical leader for the company Demonstrate expertise across multiple infrastructure domains including server, storage, network, and end-user computing Serve as an expert for end-to-end architecture, including on premise and cloud deployments Evaluate and recommend opportunities to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure and operations with the intention of elevating the stability, reliability and performance of systems. Knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, etc.) Demonstrate ability to effectively present recommendations and decisions with pertinent data and research Maintain high degree of industry knowledge on latest trends, technologies, etc. Engage in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, development, configuration, testing, and production deployment of infrastructure systems Validate delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements Conduct 3rd party solution assessments and provide input throughout procurement process Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations Provide thought leadership and mentorship to team members across business and technical teams in solving complex business requirements Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts Education and Expereince:
Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4
years of experience. Knowledge and Skills:
Design and develop IT architecture solutions to support firm business strategies Proficient in leading Technology problem solving Modern knowledge across multiple infrastructure disciplines including but not limited to Network, Mainframes, Storage, Enterprise and End-User Compute, Cloud, Operations & Service Management, and Security Ability to influence all levels in a matrixed organization Establish and maintain effective relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors. Excellent interpersonal skills. Seen as credible and trustworthy. Embraces change and consider different approaches to issues Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical subject matter and communicate the business and operations impact of choices to business and IT leaders Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of technology and business partners. Excellent facilitation skills Fosters open communication by actively listening to others Presents ideas, thoughts, arguments, and information persuasively Actively builds and maintains productive relationships or networks of internal/external contacts Can build confidence, support, and effective collaboration among superiors, peers, and functional areas when discussing technological solutions.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
