Job Description:
The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Corporate Development and Investor Relations functions for the organization. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and modeling, document creation, communications drafting and overall analytical support for external Investor events and M&A transactions. Key Responsibilities Work directly with the senior team at Greif to manage IR efforts, financial analysis and content / document creation during high impact Investor events (Quarterly earnings, Investor Day, Non-Deal Roadshows, Investor Meetings, etc.) or other special projects Manage analysis, messaging and content development as needed for all material strategy, corporate development (M&A) or other high-impact initiatives Support analysis, messaging and content development as needed for all major Strategy initiatives or research projects Help prepare scripts and talking points for senior management for research conferences, senior business managers, and investor meetings Manage day-to-day investor inquiries, outreach and data requests by working directly with internal Business Unit and Functional leaders, operators and external advisors Help organize buy-side / sell-side engagements, including NDRS, conference calls and other events Drive tracking / monitoring efforts for all investor engagements and provide support on all new investor targeting or sell-side coverage growth initiatives Provide on-going Market Intelligence support by monitoring and reporting on industry news and relevant macro-economic data on a daily basis, including competitor actions or other events and developments that may impact Greif businesses Update / support revisions of Sell-side analyst consensus models on a quarterly basis Develop Executive Leadership Team or Board materials as needed, and support all special investor projects on an as-needed basis Provide M&A transaction financial analysis and document creation, process planning, scheduling, and other day-day transaction level support Support / collaborate with internal Business Unit and Functional leaders, operators and external advisors to drive M&A process Own and serve as lead analyst for financial diligence, analysis, and evaluation on specific transactions, including auditing and maintaining financial models focused on earnings, balance sheet metrics and valuation Drive tracking / monitoring efforts both during transactions and post close (i.e., synergy tracking) Own and administer virtual data rooms or other information exchanges as needed Respond to all data / analysis requests and questions from internal and external stakeholders Support development of any Executive Leadership Team or Board of Directors analysis and presentation materials Support post close Integration / Separation efforts related to Greif transactions Organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, assess business situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet organizational goals Coordinate cross-functional internal and external teams for various transactions and deliverables Lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation Education Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field Experience Preferably 8
years' experience in Financial Services (e.g., Investment Banking / Equity Research / Sales & Trading) or Corporate Finance (Corporate Development, Strategy, FP&A, Treasury) Self-starter with strong project management skills Ability to interact with different business functions and levels of seniority across the Firm Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to organization and accuracy Knowledge and Skills Extensive knowledge of research methodology for key business issues. Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills. Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis. Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling. Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very strong project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives. Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting. Developed leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and management. Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
